About This Project

Nick’s favourite bird, after Dawn.

This bespoke print was commissioned for a bedroom in a gorgeous Victorian house.

British birds are a big interest in the household and we selected Bullfinches to provide the theme. The colour scheme of the room is based on their dramatic palette of black, grey and a spectrum of coral. The walls of the room are painted in Farrow & Ball’s Hardwick White, which is a lovely soft grey.

The bullfinches are drawn using chalk pastel.  They are then scanned and the images used to create this digital print.
